Notice of Absence

Hello my dear readers! This message is a brief notice of absence as I was not able to find time to create a new post this past week. This is due to the start of online school, as I have been quite busy preparing a new schedule and taking care of many matters related to my beginning 7th grade online. I hope you all can understand that this past week has been particularly tumultuous for me, and that, as much as I would have loved to have written you all a new post to read, I could not. I was, however, able to prepare a Quote of The Week so that you, my readers, can have a little something to get you through the rest of the week! Here it is:

"Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'I'm possible!'"

- Audrey Hepburn

Again, thank you all so much for understanding, and I cannot wait to write for you again next Tuesday!

- Tina P.

Get to Know the Writer: About Me - Updated Version!

Image
Hello TTT readers! I know it's been quite a while since I last posted an article, and even longer since I introduced myself as Tina CP, author of Tina's Typical Tuesdays. While a lot has changed, I'll start with the basics (but if you haven't read my initial "Get to Know the Writer," I'd recommend doing that first)! To begin, I am a thirteen year old, soon-to-be freshman from sunny California. My interests and passions, as listed in my previous about me article, have stayed relatively the same, but over the last two years, I've picked up a knack for writing poetry and have gotten more involved in movements I feel strongly about. I've also honed in on my skills as a leader this past year as my middle school's ASB President and as a California Association of Student Leaders (CASL) ambassador. In a matter of months, I'll also be beginning my journey outside of the Golden State as a part of Phillips Academy Andover's Class of 2026 (go ...

Am I Doing Enough? - Into the Mind of Productivity Anxiety

Am I Doing Enough?  Into the Mind of Productivity Anxiety Hello readers! Apologies for not posting last week; August is going to be particularly busy as I am preparing to move at the end of the month. Wish me luck! “The time you enjoy wasting isn’t wasted time.” - John Lennon.      A s I've grown older and therefore busier, I've often found myself staring out the window on a Sunday morning with what feels like a very heavy brick chaining my heart down, making my mouth dry and my stomach twist and turn uneasily. Half of my brain, the machine-like half that doesn't appear anywhere close to sputtering, stopping, and taking a break, is scowling vindictively at its counterpart, the moiety who refuses to give up my only day off in the week and just wants to go out, shop with friends, roam the city.       "Are you seriously considering giving yourself a pat on the back and a day off just for the pathetic amount of work you've done recently?" Half 1 scoff...

Get to Know The Writer: About Me

Image
Hello reader! This is not really a blog post, as this is just for you to get to know me before you begin to read some of my real blog posts! Firstly, my name is Tina CP and I'm an eleven year old from California. However, I was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to CA when I was very young. I love to play the violin and am a student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (Pre-College Programme). I also speak Spanish, French, and Vietnamese. A few hobbies of mine include running, shopping, reading, designing clothes, and being a huge Harry Potter fanatic! Another thing that I love to do is traveling and learning about new places. My favorite place that I have ever traveled to is New York City because I really like how the city always feels so alive and exciting!       But the one thing I love more than anything else are my family and friends. I have one older brother, Theodore, or Theo. He and I are nearly exact opposites, but we still som...
